About Me

JayDee Milo is a dedicated advocate, educator, and social media influencer who has made it his mission to uplift and support women around the world, particularly those who can relate to his late mother’s story.

The loss of his mother in 2011 due to an accidental overdose was a devastating blow, leading James into a decade-long battle with addiction. Through resilience and determination, he has now been clean for nearly ten years. His journey through grief and recovery has shaped his life’s work, inspiring him to share his story on social media.

After graduating with honors from Pennsylvania State University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing, James demonstrated his commitment to education early on. His pursuit of knowledge didn’t stop there; he later earned his MBA from Stevens Henager College, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2016.

The lessons I learned from watching my mom make miracles out of nothing taught me that no challenge is too big when you lead with love and determination.

With nearly two decades of experience in higher education, James has devoted his career to helping adult learners navigate their return to academia, enabling them to change their career paths and improve their lives. His passion for this work is deeply rooted in his admiration for his mother, Sandi, a single mom who was the driving force behind his achievements.

James’ openness and vulnerability have resonated with over a million women globally, many of whom see themselves in the story of his mother. These connections have not only kept Sandi’s legacy alive but have also provided James with a sense of purpose and community. He now dedicates his time to listening to the stories of these women, offering support, understanding, and a compassionate ear.

James is deeply grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many incredible women and is honored to carry on his mother’s legacy through these meaningful interactions. Every woman he meets is a reminder of his mom’s strength and spirit, and he remains committed to making a positive impact in their lives.

**To My Incredible Community,**

As I sit here reflecting on this journey we’ve been on together since 2020, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for each and every one of you. Over 1 million strong, you have become more than just followers—you are my sisters, my inspiration, and a source of strength that has helped me heal in ways I never could’ve imagined.

So many of you have thanked me for advocating on your behalf, but I need you to know that I am even more grateful for you. Your unwavering support has eased the pain of losing my mother in ways you will never fully understand. Through your stories, your strength, and your resilience, you have allowed my mom’s story and legacy to live on. We’ve created a bond that is unique to us—a connection that no one else in this world could ever replicate or truly understand.

Thank you for allowing a 39-year-old man with no children to speak on behalf of single moms across the globe. Who would’ve ever thought, right? But my admiration for my mom started at a very young age, and my respect for women who do it all by themselves was always inside of me. I was raised by strong and powerful women; I grew up with warriors of love. You are all warriors in my eyes too, and when I hear from each of you at different times, I feel like I’m listening to my mom speak to me again here on earth.

Thank you for still being here with me, for trusting me with your stories, and for allowing me on this journey of life in a way with you. I’m far from perfect, but I’ve tried my hardest to be as responsible with this platform as I possibly can. And if that means calling out a deadbeat or two (or 2 thousand), THEN SO BE IT, BABY! Lol.

Sending you all my love,

Xoxoxo,
Jay
